Friday pictures: Low altitude Jaguars
After several servings of North American’s finest, I thought this Friday I’d turn to a foreign subject. The RAF recently retired its Jaguars, but their appearance on sites like Flickr reminds us of what has passed. Like the Tomcat, some venerable staples are not as timeless as they seemed. So here, taken by Flickr user Explora56 is a two-seater Jaguar over Wales a year ago:
Its companion shot is by a Flickr friend of mine, James, whose
wonderful pictures have appeared here before (link and link). He caught a Jaguar that belongs to Qinetiq, and is the last (or one of the last) flying Jaguars. If you have a moment, you should also view this one large – James’s shots are always razor crisp.
If you like this, I encourage you to check out this summary of all of the aviation photography I have featured here.
