Amazon opens its DRM-free music store

Back in May, I wrote about Amazon’s plan to open a music store that would sell music in DRM-free MP3 form. Those plans have come to fruition, and today Amazon opened its store, in beta form. Over at Daring Fireball, Gruber’s given it the once over with favorable results, so I am planning on giving it a try, and I encourage you to do so as well.

[Let this post be a reminder that even Apple fans like to see choice in the marketplace, when it results in better alternatives.]
