Time magazine has a collection of eleven pictures taken by Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre documenting Detroit’s Beautiful, Horrible Decline. I have read about that city’s woes, but this collection manages to drive home the point in a manner both grim and beautiful.
Hat tip: Ryan Avent’s The Bellows
Update: Somewhat oddly, it seems Time has two separate collections of imagery of Detroit’s collapse. The second collection is by Sean Hemmerle, and can be found here. I cannot see anything to suggest these collections are related, or in what order they appeared, but they have to be related, I would assume.
